Case Studies
Numerous large and small corporations around the world are successfully using Planet Supra to reduce their energy expenditures and minimize their environmental footprint.
Case Study: Beverage Wholesaler
Saitama, Japan
August 2009

Company: One of Japan’s largest energy beverage wholesalers, with over 500 warehouses painted.
Results: Planet Supra applied to the warehouse rooftop resulted in a 19°C reduction in interior roof surface temperature and a 5°C drop in the interior temperature.
Case Study: Carrefour
Bangkok, Thailand
November 2009

Company: Carrefour is one of the largest French grocery and shopping mall multinationals, operating 11,000 locations in 32 countries worldwide.
Results: Planet Supra applied to the warehouse rooftop resulted in an over 30°C reduction on the exterior roof surface temperature and an approximate reduction of 5 degrees Celsius in the interior ambient temperature.
Case Study: Al Zour Power Station
Al Zour, Kuwait
October 2009

Company: Al Zour is Kuwait’s largest power station, with over 1,000 MW of capacity.
Results: Applied to the exterior rooftop, Planet Supra resulted in a 4.5 to 9.5°C reduction in interior and exterior roof surface on a covered structure with no walls, during windy and extreme conditions.
Case Study: Four Seasons Hotel
Bangkok, Thailand
October 2009

The Case: The Four Seasons Hotel in Thailand evaluated Planet Supra’s ability to reduce boiler room expenses and improve the working conditions for employees and technicians. The hotel’s engineering staff tested Planet Supra by painting panels on one of their boilers and hot water pipes.
Results: Planet Supra’s insulating properties maintained constant hot water temperature while reducing the surface temperature of the pipes by 10˚C, resulting in both improved working conditions and effective cost savings.
Case Study: Marriott Hotel
Islamabad, Pakistan
June 2009

The Case: The Marriott Hotel in Islamabad needed to reduce interior temperatures in mobile staff accommodations during construction. Mobile accommodations were painted with Planet Supra in a test designed and administered by Marriott’s Chief Engineer.
Results: On average interior roof and wall temperatures decreased by 5˚C to 10˚C after Planet Supra was applied to the mobile accommodations.
Case Study: Coca-Cola
Japan
December 2009

The Case: Coca-Cola tested 30 heat reflective coatings to choose a product that would most effectively reduce the temperature inside their 14 000 square meter bottling facility.
Results: Planet Supra produced the best results and was chosen by Coca-Cola to provide them with a cost effective and eco friendly solution to reduce the temperature in their bottling facility.

Case Study: 7-Eleven
Thailand
January 2010

The Case: 7-Eleven and PTT Gas made use of their proximity as neighbors to evaluate Planet Supra in comparison with PU foam’s insulation capacity at two Thailand locations.
Results: Planet Supra produced superior results. The maximum ambient temperatures measured with Planet Supra as compared with PU foam insulation were more than 5C cooler after applying Planet Supra to 7-11’s rooftop.
Case Study: Muramoto Corp.
Japan
April – October 2009

The Case: Muramoto tests the thermal insulation and energy saving capacity of Planet Supra over a 7 month period.
Results: Planet Supra reduced air conditioning use, providing Muramoto an average 44.3% reduction in energy costs over four months.
